Pocket Network Officially Supports xDAI Archival for Developers and Node Runners

After announcing support for xDAI a month ago, Pocket Network is now happy to share that xDAI Archival is supported in our Pocket Portal!

And just like with xDAI mainnet, POKT incentives benefit node runners who maintain high-quality archival node infrastructure.

With the xDAI ecosystem growing faster than ever, we’re happy to give developers and users more options when it comes to their need for decentralized node infrastructure.

The same developer-driven protocol has now grown to 6000+ nodes meaning we’re even more prepared for anything the xDAI ecosystem can throw at us – from bursts of traffic like Dark Forest v6 Round 4, to sustained usage from protocols within the xDAI world, to new protocols deploying and growing on xDai.

We’re Here To Stay

Archival nodes allow developers to work with historical data (past transaction information starting from the genesis block), opening up the possibilities and giving more flexibility for information gathering on the xDAI network.

This could be tracking transactions over time, like with Block Explorers, or unearthing other data over a long timeframe, such as analytic platforms.

Historical information plays an important role with any network, and we hope that our full-node incentives and rock solid network of node runners gives added confidence even when performing resource intensive functions.

How can you get started with Pocket on xDAI?

About Pocket

Pocket Network is a two-way marketplace that matches blockchain application developers seeking unstoppable node infrastructure with RPC infrastructure providers and node runners who are incentivized via the POKT token to run full nodes through it’s decentralized protocol.

About xDAI

The xDai chain is a stable payments EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) blockchain designed for fast and inexpensive transactions. The chain uses a unique dual-token model; xDai is a stable token used for transactions, payments, and fees, and STAKE is a governance token used to support the underlying POSDAO Proof-of-Stake consensus.
